Visiting the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre couldn’t be easier. Remember O=MEGA19 will be located in the new extension at MCEC. Entry is via the new main entrance at Convention Centre Place near DFO South Wharf and the new Novotel.

Public Transport

TRAMS

There is a tram stop at the entrance to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Tram Nos. 112, 96, 109 travel along Clarendon Street from South Melbourne, Port Melbourne and St Kilda and service the CBD via Collins and Bourke Streets.

Trams run every 6-8 minutes during peak times, 7.00am – 9.00am and 4.00pm – 6.00pm and every 10-12 minutes between 9.00am and 4.00pm.

TRAINS
Southern Cross Station (formerly Spencer Street Station) is just a short stroll from the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

WINDOW DRESSING COMPETITION

All optometry businesses with street frontages are invited to take part in the Window Dressing Competition at O=MEGA19.


The benefits for participating for all businesses include:

- attracting customers to your shop
- Improving retail skills
- having a bit of fun


Entries were judged by Justin Compton and Sue Robinson, Diploma of Visual Merchandising, RMIT University.


Prizes

1st place prize being an Annual Window Calendar Consultation with Kerry Van Beuge from Through the Looking Glass, which also includes the annual plan, a consultation with the staff member responsible for install/implementation and one free Virtual Window Display specific to their practice window space; valued at $750.

Winner: Eye Style Optical, Ulverstone

 

2nd Prize a personal Window consultation with Kerry Van Beuge from Through the Looking Glass for One Virtual Window; valued at $300. 

2nd place: A+ Optometry

 

3rd Prize of a Poster Pack - 4 x A1 posters (designed by Kerry Van Beuge from Through the Looking Glass) specific for different themed windows throughout the year (not brand specific); valued at $120.
